Our Beginnings
The Larkspur Volunteer Fire Auxiliary was established in 2009 as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation by a group of Larkspur Fire Protection District volunteer firefighters. Their hope was to raise money to purchase equipment and provide training for the firefighters. Additionally, they performed activities to benefit the communities and residents within the Larkspur Fire Protection District boundaries. The volunteers of Larkspur Volunteer Fire Auxiliary have expanded to include men and women who do not have firefighter experience, but have the desire to be a part of the philanthropic work that the organization provides.
Our Mission
To enhance Larkspur Fire Protection District service capabilities, improve public safety and ultimately community benefaction within our fire district.
Our Focus
To facilitate early career Firefighters' professional advancement within the Larkspur Fire Protection District agency by awarding scholarships for fire service related education programs or degrees. To assist financially in obtaining firefighting, medical and ancillary equipment for the improvement of emergency services provided to the communities and residents within the Larkspur Fire Protection District. To participate in functions within the Larkspur Fire Protection District service territory which improves our residents' safety, sense of community and quality of life.
